A slight swell with rain falling, & a choppy sea following was the cause of a number of Karkhi lads hang- ing over the rails & remarks to the effect of Why did we volunteer. d-n the Turks. Don’t give a d-n if we go to the bottom. Everybody was going round as though they were inspired with “dutch courage”.
